Continental Batteries Acquired by Incline Equity Partners

Bulkley Capital served as exclusive advisor to Continental Battery Company (Dallas, Texas) in the company’s sale to Incline Equity Partners (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania).

Founded in 1932, Continental Battery Company is a leading distributor of aftermarket batteries to the automotive, commercial, golf, marine and industrial markets. The company operates 22 branch locations across the central U.S., serving traditional and program distributors as well as professional installers and commercial fleet operators. Bulkley Capital was engaged by the third generation of family owners to manage a highly confidential and selective process to sell the business.

Continental was successfully sold to Incline Equity Partners, a middle market private equity firm with significant experience in the value added distribution sector. News of the transaction did not leak prior to public announcement and Incline’s investment structure provided for future value participation for Continental’s key management team.
