Brad Bulkley Receives Outstanding Directors Award for Private Companies

On November 5, 2020 the Dallas Business Journal honored Brad Bulkley for his past and present service on boards as part of the Dallas Business Journal’s Outstanding Directors Awards. This was a virtual event honoring all 11 award winners announced in February this year.

Aside from running his own company, Dallas-based investment banking firm Bulkley Capital, Bulkley has sat on a number of boards throughout his career, including current positions on the boards of Manhattan-based Denihan Hospitality Group and North Carolina-based MJM Yachts. He is also the past lead director for Dallas-based The Brandt Cos. Strategic Advisory Board and previously served as a statutory board member and Co-Chairman of Membership for the North Texas Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).

At The Brandt Cos., Bulkley helped form the company’s first independent board. He’s also dealt with leadership succession planning, a task he calls “the most difficult issue a board faces.”
