National Switchgear acquired by Integrated Power Services

Bulkley Capital served as exclusive financial advisor to National Switchgear Holding, LLC (Lewisville, Texas), a provider of technical field services and equipment solutions to the electrical power distribution sector, in the sale of the company to Integrated Power Services (Greenville, South Carolina).

Founded in 1986, National provides on-site maintenance, repair, upgrade, testing, commissioning and disaster recovery services for switchgear systems, circuit breakers and related components. The company’s subsidiary National Field Services is a NETA-accredited electrical testing organization. National also offers equipment rebuild, remanufacture and upgrade shop services, and supplies new and surplus switchgear systems, components and parts. Bulkley Capital was engaged by the company’s founder to identify a compatible acquirer for National with the financial and strategic resources to provide liquidity to the company’s majority owners and support the continued growth of the business.

National was acquired by Integrated Power Services (IPS), the North American leader in the service of electric motors, generators and mechanical power transmission components. National becomes the platform for a new service division within IPS focused on power management equipment, providing the company and its team with the opportunity to leverage IPS’s existing network and scale nationally.
