LA-CO Industries acquires J.P. Nissen Company

Bulkley Capital served as exclusive buyside advisor to LA-CO Industries, Inc. (Elk Grove Village, Illinois) in the acquisition of John P. Nissen, Jr. Company (Glenside, Pennsylvania), a manufacturer of industrial felt tip, solid paint and metal markers.

Founded in 1934, LA-CO Industries is a family-owned manufacturer of industrial hand-held markers, plumbing chemicals and livestock identification products.

Bulkley Capital was engaged by LA-CO to assist in navigating a complex transaction to purchase JP Nissen out of the former owner’s family trust.

Bulkley Capital has worked closely with LA-CO’s owners and management team to design and execute a proactive acquisition strategy to diversify and strengthen the business. The JP Nissen transaction represents the third acquisition on which Bulkley Capital has advised LA-CO.
