Richard is a seasoned communications industry executive with extensive experience operating daily and weekly newspaper companies as well as a number of radio and television stations and magazines. He led four prominent media companies over a span of twenty years prior to joining Bulkley Capital in 1994, including The Des Moines Register, Pioneer Press and Park Communications. He has also had significant involvement in banking and investing, previously serving as Chairman of the Board of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago, Director of the Principal Mutual Funds, organized by the Principal Financial Group, and Director of Calamos Asset Management (Nasdaq:CLMS). In addition to his work with Bulkley Capital, Richard serves as a Chair for Vistage, a worldwide organization for Chief Executives, and as an outside Director for three privately-held middle market companies.
Craig has been a member of Bulkley Capital’s Advisory Board since 2001 and possesses a broad background in finance, operations, retail, distribution and mergers and acquisitions. He is currently Executive Chairman and CEO of All Aboard America! Holdings, Inc. Up until its sale in 2007 he served as President and CEO of Coach America Holdings Inc., the largest charter and tour motor coach operator in the U.S. and before that led Greyhound Lines, Inc. as President and CEO from 1994 to 2003. Craig had previously served as Vice Chairman and Executive Vice President between 1987 and 1989 after he and other investors had acquired Greyhound from Dial Corporation and merged it with BusLease, Inc., a company he co-founded in 1980 and which became the largest motor coach leasing company in the U.S. Prior to rejoining Greyhound, he served as Executive Vice President and CFO for Phoenix-based Motor Coach Industries International, Inc., the largest manufacturer of intercity coaches and transit buses in North America. Craig also spent eight years as an owner and CFO of Storehouse, a chain of retail furniture stores based in Atlanta, and was a co-founder of Enginetech, an importer and distributor of aftermarket engine parts. Craig sits on the Boards of a number of privately held companies and is an adjunct professor and Board Member at the University of Denver’s Intermodal Transportation Institute.
Don is an author, strategic advisor, and founder of the Strategic Growth Alliance, LLC and the Schmincke Research Alliance (501c3), a non-profit executive education institute. His programs use uncommon methods to help CEOs accelerate business performance in the areas of strategy, leadership, sales and cultural alignment. He is author of The Code of the Executive, and co-author of High Altitude Leadership; both best-sellers. Don is featured in over 60 industry publications annually, in addition to regular radio and television appearances worldwide. He flies over 200,000 miles each year delivering keynote addresses at conferences, training CEOs in his workshops and working with clients from the Department of Defense to large and small corporations across every industry, including healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, IT, communications, finance and insurance.
